A Bit About Me

Are you ready to work with your own innate health and inner well-being?

I am a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist living with my family in north-West London. My role is to support my clients to access their own innate healing ability and gain a sense of inner health and well-being during each session.

I have worked in a variety of establishments supporting people since 1992, such as people with learning/physical disabilities, mental health, HIV and Aids. I am a qualified youth and community worker and have worked with the Prince’s Trust. I also have eight years experience working with the Metropolitan Police Service which has given me a unique opportunity to understand the complexities of life and how we are all in need of a supportive environment to feel safe.

Craniosacral provides that safe holding space for individuals to relax and start their own inner healing. I enjoy working with people and have found a real passion in craniosacral therapy as it offers a holistic approach and person-centred focus on how each person expresses themselves through their body.

Finding the right healing modality for me had been a challenge at times as I have always had an interest in holistic therapies, however I was not drawn to any of the more conventional modalities such as Massage, Reflexology or Reiki as for me there was always an element missing, they didn’t feel substantial or holistic enough for what I was looking for (this is by no means taking away from the wonderful work that these modalities offer; they just were not right for me at that time).

It wasn’t until I received an email from an unknown source offering me a free talk on Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy that I had even heard about this work. Something inside me was like ‘Clarissa you have to attend this talk’! I didn’t even know what it was; that’s the beauty of listening to our intuition. When I attended it was like a light bulb moment, that AHA moment when what you’ve been searching for finally finds you. This unknown healing modality encompassed everything I had been wanting and looking for. It worked not only with the physical body (the physiology and anatomy) but also incorporated the energy fields surrounding us.  Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy had found me!

To this day I still do not know where or how that life changing email came from! I just know I was led to work in this field and have loved every minute of it.

I qualified as a fully accredited practitioner of Craniosacral Therapy at the Craniosacral Educational Trust (CTET) based in London. I have an enhanced DBS check and am a member of The Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA) www.craniosacral.co.uk working within their code of ethics and participating in continued professional development in order to keep up to date with new insights, developments and course material.
